OPSEC 101 — Online safety fundamentals for kinksters
Class time and requirements
Tailored to the available time block (45-90 minutes). Classroom-style (rows of chairs facing presenter). Projector screen and power is required. I will provide the projector, presentation laptop, audio, comfort display, and will gaffer tape my own cables and trip hazards.
We ask that both front and rear cameras be covered for the duration of the class to ensure the privacy of attendees. Gaffer tape and vinyl adhesive discs will be made available to cover cameras.
About the class (abridged description)
OPSEC, or Operations Security, is the process of protecting individual pieces of data that could be grouped together to give the bigger picture (called aggregation).
In other words, preventing play partners, stalkers, friends, family, or coworkers from finding out about your vanilla and kink identities by piecing together bits of seemingly random or innocent information. For example, using the same photos for both kink and vanilla profiles or using your vanilla mobile number on your kink Signal, Snapchat, or Kik.
This is an interactive (smartphones, tablets, and laptops out) 101-level class that will teach the basics of protecting your privacy by keeping your kink and vanilla lives separate online.

Subject matter will explain levels of risk for different types of activities online, how to prevent digital cross-contamination (leaking vanilla details to your kink life and vice versa), and best practices for computer and mobile phone security to keep your devices safe from prying eyes.
Q&A and, if time allows, more advanced topics such as screening play partners, encryption, VPN (Virtual Private Networks), and TOR (The Onion Router) will be covered.

Even if you think you have nothing to hide and no one would want to hack you...you're still a high-value target. There are entire forums dedicated to harassing, doxing, and outing kinksters and sex workers just for the fun of it.
